Lemures are Giovanni Lami and Enrico Coniglio, musicians who work in electroacoustic, field recordings and noise research, combining attitudes of each field.
Giovanni Lami is a field recordist and musician from Ravenna (Italy), who works within soundscape, electroacoustic and sound ecology boundaries. Graduated in Food Science and Technologies and in Photography, his photography qualification first got him into the field of art, with numerous exhibitions, artistic residencies and books.
With his projects, he played in several venues including The Zimmer (Tel Aviv), Kreuzberg Pavillon (Berlin), Knot Gallery (Atene), The Bee’s Mouth (Brighton), cafeOTO (Londra).
Enrico Coniglio is a guitarist, environmental sound recordist and sound artist. He‘s a musician with an interest in the aesthetic aspects of the landscape. Starting from his curiosity in experimenting within tonal variation of ambient and atmospheric music, with a particular referral to the soundscape of the Venetian lagoon, his music aims at investigating the loss of identity of places and the uncertainty on the evolution of the territory.
He has released music through labels such as Glacial Movements, Silentes, Touch/Spire, and Cronica electronica. Over the last years he has performed at festivals and art events, most notably at Planet Love Summer Session (Dublin), Big Chill (Birmingham), Hydrophonia (Barcelona).
He is also founder, together with Leandro Pisano, of the digital label Galaverna, focused on field recordings and soundscape compositions.
